I started studying solar thermal energy in 2004 as an undergraduate student. In 2009, I moved to Florianpolis, Brazil, for postgraduate studies at the Solar Energy Laboratory of the Federal University of Santa Catarina, where in 2019 I obtained a PhD in Mechanical Engineering in the area of concentration of thermal engineering and sciences. In the Netherlands I had the opportunity to do a postdoctoral fellowship and be a principal investigator on a 3-year research project. My lines of research include modeling, numerical simulation and optimization of varied solar thermal collectors, thermodynamic power and refrigeration cycles with low GWP fluids, and thermal energy storages.

D. in Chemistry from the Universidad de Concepción and a Ph.D. in Sciences with mention in Chemistry from the same institution, the latter in co-supervision with the Universidad de La Laguna, Spain. Since 2023, she has been working as a researcher at the Center for Materials for Energy Transition and Sustainability, where she is in charge of improving the performance of materials for energy storage. She teaches at Chilean universities and actively participates in scientific dissemination. Currently, he is part of the AtomZoom, Chile initiative, which seeks to foster STEM vocations in pre-university students.

Geological Engineer and University Technician in Geology and Mining, currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Geological Sciences at the Central University of Venezuela. He has worked on projects, both offshore and onshore, in several Latin American countries (Venezuela, Mexico, Panama, Nicaragua, Dominica, Peru, etc.). He is currently based in Bolivia for the company Geotecnia Tarifa SRL as geologist in charge. His function is to perform studies in different geotechnical studies in various geotechnical projects related to the area of telecommunications, hydroelectric power, landfills, real estate branch also includes hydrogeology, geophysics and geomatics .

With more than 30 years of teaching and research experience, he has been visiting professor and/or researcher in more than 10 academic institutions and research centers in Europe and Latin America, author of 5 books, 25 scientific-technical articles, and invited lecturer in 16 international congresses. .

Civil Engineer graduated from the U.A.G.R.M. of Santa Cruz de la Sierra in 2004. During his professional career he has been dedicated to hydrological and hydraulic studies, geological and geotechnical risk projects and water erosion control in the public and private sector. From 2010 to 2012 he completed a Master's Degree in Engineering Sciences with a specialization in Structures and Geotechnics at the National University of Cordoba, Argentina. .

He currently works as a full time professor in the department of mechanics at the Institución Universitaria Pascual Bravo in the city of Medellin. His academic and research interests are framed in the study, design and optimization of thermal equipment and machines; he has also been part of different projects related to energy efficiency in different companies at regional and national level.
