Henry Carvajal was born in Quito, Ecuador. He received the B.Sc. degree in electronics and telecommunications engineering with honors from the Armed Forces University-ESPE, Ecuador, in 2009, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (FEEC), University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil, in 2014 and 2018, respectively. He was Director of the Technology Transfer Area in the Education, Science and Technology Secretariat (SENESCYT), Ecuador, 2018. From September 2018, he is full professor in the telecommunications engineering course at the Universidad de Las Américas (UDLA), Quito, Ecuador. Moreover, he obtained the HCIA-5G Certification from Huawei in 2020. His research interests are fading channels, diversity-combining systems, orthogonal and non-orthogonal multiple access, multiuser detection, MIMO, 5G and B5G technologies.

Doctor in Civil Engineering, M.S. in Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineer, His areas of interest are: Mechanics of structures, Computational modeling, Crack propagation, Composite materials, Concrete structures.

Doctor. in Science, full time professor-researcher at the Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí, graduated from the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California. He received his M.S. degree in Computer Engineering and his B.S. degree in Computer Engineering from the Universidad Autonoma de San Luis Potosi. Research interests include image processing, Ambient Intelligence (AmI), Ubiquitous Computing, human computer interaction and medical informatics. Professional Member in IEEE and ACM since 2012.

D. in Chemistry at the same university, during the development of my research work I did laboratory teaching at the UdeC and in the last years of my PhD I worked at the CREAR Institute of the Universidad San Sebastián (USS).
Between 2018 and 2019 I worked at USS as a lecturer in charge of the General and Organic Chemistry Laboratory subject.
Additionally, I taught at CPECH Pre-University where I taught General Chemistry and Chemistry in depth. Currently I teach Chemistry at the University of Chile. Regarding research, since 2019 I am working in the LMM laboratory led by Prof. Mónica Soler, where I contribute in the synthesis and structural characterization of curcuminoid ligands, I support the experimental work of undergraduate and graduate students in the field of synthesis and analysis of results.
I was awarded the Fondecyt postdoctoral fellowship to carry out from April 2020 to 2023 a project whose central axis is water remediation.

Assistant Professor of the Department of Transportation and Logistics Engineering of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and research associate of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also participates as a researcher at the BRT Center of Excellence and the Center for Sustainable Urban Development CEDEUS. He has previously worked as an academic at the School of Industrial Engineering of the Universidad Diego Portales and as a postdoctoral researcher at the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART). He has also been supervisor of transportation studies at DICTUC and at CIS Transporte consulting firm.
